Brand Story
The roots of Shah Halima Agro were inspired by the late Shah Anwara Begum, grandmother of the founder, who was honored by the East Pakistan Agricultural University in Mymensingh for introducing a poultry breed known for higher meat production. The journey began when the founder was just 12 years old, raising 12 local chickens at his grandfather’s residence in Dhanmondi 5.
This passion soon evolved into a commercial venture with the establishment of Skim Poultry Farm in Ashulia, Tongibari starting with 5,000 day-old chicks imported from Venkateshwara Hatchery in Pune, India (Breed: BV 300). From that humble beginning, the business expanded steadily into one of the most trusted agro enterprises in Bangladesh. Shah Group also holds the distinction of being the first to introduce the Goral breed in Bangladesh, further strengthening its legacy of innovation and leadership in the agro sector.
